Dr. Gunveen S. Sachdeva, M.D. obtained his M.B.B.S. from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, India and served as a primary care physician in the Indian Armed Forces. After obtaining his M.D. in Pathology from AFMC, he worked as a Senior Resident in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He is currently developing methods for MALDI-imaging for spatial pathology and laser capture microdissection of formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue sections for studying a variety of disorders as well as working on applying genomic and proteomic approaches in analysis of hemoglobinopathies, mitochondrial disorders and cancer. He is also involved in investigating the glycoproteome in Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation.
